How To Add A Scheduled Event Item
Learn how to add and configure a Scheduled Event item in Auctria.
A Scheduled Event item in Auctria is any item with the Is event option enabled. Scheduled Event items are typically used when you want to sell or showcase something that represents a future event — such as a concert, dinner party, or other experience.
Creating a Scheduled Event Item
You can enable the Is event option on a new item or an existing one. When enabled, a Scheduled Event panel will appear on the item's details page where you can set the event's Start Date and Location.

See Add New Items to Auctria for more information on creating items and enabling the Is event option.
Selling or Showcasing Scheduled Events
Scheduled Event items can use any item type, so how you configure them depends on what you want to do with them.
Selling Scheduled Event Items
If you want to sell tickets or spots for the scheduled event, use the For Sale item type or configure the item as Buy It Now Only. Both approaches work well for selling access to a future event.
See Item Types and Sell Items for more information.
Showcasing Scheduled Events
If you want to create a browse-only calendar of upcoming events for your guests — without any purchasing or bidding — use the Partial item type, which cannot be purchased or bid on directly.
See Partial Items for more information.
Displaying Scheduled Events
Catalog View Options
Once a Scheduled Event item has been added to your event, the Item Catalog will display a toggle button in the top-right corner of its section. By default this is set to Grid view, but you can change the default to Calendar view in the Item Catalog settings. The Calendar view shows a condensed view of the current month, and guests can navigate month to month to browse future events.

Showing Event Details
Days with a Scheduled Event will appear as clickable entries in the calendar. Enable the Allow Drill To Details setting in your Item Catalog configuration so guests can click through to see the full event details from the item's details page.
If you want the Item Catalog to display only Scheduled Event items, set it to use the Scheduled Events condition. This will filter the catalog to show only items that have the Is event option enabled and a Scheduled Event start date set. The default view will be Grid view, but switching to Calendar view is just two clicks away.
